Round of APP-lause for TodayTix and Miss Saigon

This no fuss, easy to use app may just be the next social ‘what shall we do’ situation saviour!

When it comes to picking last minute things to do, theatre is often not one of them – tickets seem to go up in prices, seats aren’t available and the booking process can be a right hassle. Right?

Wrong! We have just downloaded the fantastic new app TodayTix, where tickets can be purchased in 30 seconds or less, one week to one hour before showtime!

Following the huge success in New York, TodayTix have now launched their easy-to-use mobile ticket app for London’s West End. Harnessing the growing movement towards spontaneous bookings, purchases can be made using the TodayTix app in 30 seconds or less. The TodayTix interface is unique in its sleek and easy-to-use design that, unlike traditional ticket-buying platforms, will fit into your busy lifestyle. With the ability to purchase tickets within the week, up to one hour before showtime, TodayTix caters to the busy consumer, unlocking a new generation of theatre-going audiences.

iPhone-6-Isometric-view-Mockup LondonFounded by award-winning Broadway and West End producers/investors, Merritt Baer and Brian Fenty, TodayTix capitalises on the ever-growing demand for on-demand ticket sales.

Brian and Merritt said: “London’s West End is synonymous with theatre and we are ecstatic to be able to offer a service that makes theatre more accessible than ever. UK mobile commerce revenue is expected to grow by over 70% in 2015 and it is thrilling to be a part of that. Mobile is no longer the future; it’s now”

Approximately 20% of theatre tickets go unsold on Broadway and nearly 30% unsold in London each year. It’s that gap that inspired TodayTix to create a meaningful bridge by offering users the unique ability to browse a wide range of West End shows, selecting from a wider range of parameters such as best price, genre and location for an easy and positive West End ticket buying experience.

Barefaced Mag booked tickets to see the fabulous Miss Saigon, a multi-award wining production from the creators of Les Misérables and is currently running at the Prince Edward Theatre. The epic love story tells the tale of young bar girl Kim, orphaned by war, who falls in love with an American GI called Chris – but their lives are torn apart by the fall of Saigon. Miss Saigon will close on 27th February 2016.

Later this year, TodayTix will launch the first ever UK mobile theatre ticket lotteries for Kinky Boots and the Kenneth Branagh Theatre Company plays at the Garrick Theatre, giving users the chance to win reduced price theatre tickets to that night’s performance.

The TodayTix app is available for download free of charge for iOS and Android devices via the Apple Store and Google Play.
